Thursday 16th December 2021: Introduction to Dot Painting Workshop in relaxed, friendly,small group sessions
Learn how to dot paint in this relaxed, friendly workshop with a maximum of 4 people (please enquire for larger groups).
Dot painting is very engaging and can be a very mindful activity promoting mental well-being. It is also a fantastic painting technique if you have always wanted to be able to produce paintings of any kind but feel you lack the skill or time to learn.
Right from the outset, attendees will learn simple, clear skills from which they can create wall-art or smaller pictures in a day, and will go home with the knowledge to produce their own painted art, cards, and a host of other decorative items (dot painting can be done on a wide variety of backgrounds and objects).
Maximum Workshop: 4 People (adults only please)
Time: arrive for 10am start - finish 4pm
If you would like a half day session of 10am to 1pm or 1pm to 4pm, please enquire for availability.
In the session, you will be guided through:
Putting a design layout onto a ready prepared canvas board
Which tools can be used to create dots
What is the best paint for dotting
Drying and Finishing your dot art
What you can create next (with ideas on the next techniques to learn)
How dot art can become part of your creative mindfulness routine
With a maximum of 4 people in these small, friendly sessions in a spacious, light workshop with access to a lovely small garden with plenty of outdoor seating for sunny days, you will have lots of individual attention and guidance in this relaxing dot-painting workshop on the Somerset-Dorset border.
All tuition, starter patterns, background canvas and/or canvas boards, paint and use of tools are included.
Beginners Guide to Dot Painting PDF will be emailed to participants who attend the workshop.
Hot and cold drinks are available throughout the session.
Please bring a packed lunch for full day workshops.
