Craft Workshop Saturday 22nd May 2021: Get started with DSLR creative photography (Beginner Level)
Taught by a professional photographer with over 15 years of working experience, this is a practical workshop day packed with information about starting and improving your DSLR photography.
We will be looking at the technical aspects of the DSLR camera, such as settings and functions but will also be looking at how we can be creative with our photographic skills.
Maximum Workshop: 4 People
Time: arrive for 10am start - finish 4pm
Venue: Craft Workshops, Grassroots Garden Centre (separate studio within the grounds), Stalbridge Road, Henstridge BA8 0SA
Taught indoors with outdoor practice (weather permitting). If weather does not permit outdoor practice, our practice will be indoors.
We will be be discussing the fundamentals of composition, depth of field, aperture, shutter speed and ISO features but, perhaps more importantly, we will be breaking the day up with regular practical photography sessions which we will then review.
We will look at the fundamentals of photography in detail - light, composition and subject - and will also touch on a wide range of topics such as using natural light, lenses and other equipment, landscape photography, action photos, close up and macro images, black and white photography, storing and organisation of image files... and more!
The workshop tuition, advice and guidance given by Sally on the day form the basis for this workshop.
You will need a DSLR camera or micro 2/3rds camera. Rule of thumb is that if you have interchangeable lenses then this is a workshop which is suitable for you - contact me before booking if you have a bridge camera and we will look at suitability.
